Collection — HARAKEKE GOLD
Named for the golden hue drawn from harakeke, the native flax long valued in Aotearoa for its fibre, medicine, and dye, Harakeke Gold captures the warm, honeyed tones that emerge when wool is dyed using this traditional plant-based process. Hand-dyed in small batches using locally foraged harakeke and other native plants, each piece is unique — no two are alike. At the heart of the colour is an exploration of natural dyeing as a slower, more considered alternative to synthetic pigment, one that ties each shade back to the land it came from. Crafted from Romney wool grown at Palliser Ridge, a certified-regenerative farm in the Wairarapa region, then hand-dyed to bring a soft, sunlit golden tinged brown to the fibre. Made from 100% New Zealand strong wool, Harakeke Gold reflects a commitment to circular design, natural materials, and local craftsmanship. Designed and dyed by hand on Waiheke Island, and made in Aotearoa New Zealand.
