Palliser Ridge Farm — the origin of our wool. A certified-regenerative hill-country farm in South Wairarapa, guided by kaitiakitanga: the guardianship of people, animals, and land.
Palliser Ridge is one of Aotearoa's first farms certified under both the Responsible Wool Standard and the Land to Market regenerative programme through the Savory Institute. Its Wairere Romney flock produces the strong, beautiful fibre that gives our lighting both structure and luminescence.
We source directly from the farm, paying well above commodity rates to recognise the true value of New Zealand strong wool. We visit during shearing season to stay connected to the rhythm of the land and the growers who make this material possible.
Every Lof light carries this traceable story of place — a living material connection between farm, fibre, and architecture.
The wool is shorn twice a year, in January, and in August.
